Amy is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas and a Licensed Marriage
and Family Therapist in California and Texas and a board approved supervisor
for both licensures. Her 22 years of experience focuses on
relationship-based psychotherapy and multidisciplinary service, working with
children, adolescents, teens, adults, couples and families. Amy is
also a Certified Professional Coach through the International Association of Professional Recovery Coaches (IAPRC), Certified Telemental Health Provider, Certified Clinical Anxiety
Treatment Professional, and Prepare/Enrich certified and trained in couples and parenting assessments.
Before starting her private practice, Amy was Founding Executive Director of the Nick Finnegan Counseling Center, a non-profit counseling center in Houston, Texas. Amy was also the Clinical Program Manager for an Early Intervention and Prevention 0-5 Year-Old program at River Oak Center for Children in Sacramento, California. Amy started her counseling work at Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston during her graduate work at the University of Houston where she earned a Master’s of Education in Counseling Psychology. Amy is a member of the American Counseling Association, American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists, Texas Association of Marriage and Family Therapists, and International Association of Professional Recovery Coaches.
